343 won’t be unveiling the next Halo game at E3 2017
If you were hoping to see the next mainline Halo entry at this year’s E3 conference, you better brace yourself for some bad news as 343 Industries has confirmed that revealing the new Halo title isn’t part of its E3 plans.
343’s community manager Brian “sk7ch343” Jarrard shared the unfortunate news via Reddit, saying that 343 will have something to show, it just won’t be a new Halo game:
“I'll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We've said this already but we'll have a little something at E3 but it's not related to the next major entry in the franchise.”
Commenters in the Reddit threat were actually pretty understanding, saying that they’d rather 343 focused on polishing the next Halo game up as much as possible instead of revealing it before the studio felt fully ready to do so. For now, all that’s known about the next Halo game is that it will focus predominantly on Master Chief since fans didn’t like how little screen time the iconic series protagonist got in Halo 5: Guardians.
