The Evil Within 2’s launch trailer isn’t for the faint of heart

Tomorrow happens to be one of the spookiest dates of the year, Friday the 13th, and it also happens to be the release date for Tango Gameworks’ horror-shooter sequel The Evil Within 2, making now the perfect time to release an official launch trailer for the game.

The trailer, which you can watch above, only touches briefly on the central plight of returning protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, namely, the search for his missing daughter Lily within a nightmare-infested alternate reality called STEM, but what it lacks in plot points it more than makes up for with frights. Judging from what’s shown in the trailer, Sebastian will have his hands full fighting back both the human and non-human threats that seek to use Lily (and the dormant power she apparently holds within her mind) for their own nefarious purposes.

When The Evil Within 2 launches tomorrow, it will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
