Hitman is getting more content in late October
It would seem that IO Interactive’s decision to go fully independent after its split from Square Enix earlier this year is working out, since the studio has announced it will be bringing more content to Hitman later this month.
Now, before you get too excited, no, the upcoming content isn’t the long-hinted season 2, but it’s still something that Hitman fans will want to pay attention to, at least according to this new content schedule post on the game’s website.
First up, a series of 10 new featured contracts and a ‘Master Scarecrow’ challenge pack will arrive later this week on Friday, October 13. Those who complete the five new challenges included in the challenge pack will unlock a new permanent item, though IO is keeping mum on what that item is. After that, another batch of 10 featured contracts (all of which were chosen by the popular Hitman YouTuber Hatch) will come to Hitman later in October, and IO says it will reveal more upcoming content (again, clarifying it isn’t season 2) on October 24, so be sure to check back in on that day.
What exactly the new upcoming content will be is anyone’s guess at this point, but chances are good it will be a new bonus mission for one of Hitman’s existing levels or maybe even a new Elusive Target or two.
