Star Wars Battlefront II story trailer introduces the Emperor’s Messenger droids

DICE and Electronic Arts have uploaded yet another new trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II, a trailer which shows a small sequence from the game’s story campaign and introduces viewers to a terrifying new adversary.

In the above trailer, Battlefront II protagonist Iden Versio has just been told by her father, Imperial Admiral Garrick Versio, that the Emperor is dead (Battlefront II’s story is set after the events of Return of the Jedi but before The Force Awakens). Even though the Emperor is dead, his presence lives on in the form of imposing Messenger droids, towering robots which use a holographic image of the Emperor’s face as their own. One such droid tasks Iden and her father with a secretive mission, a mission which will undoubtedly ensure that the Emperor’s influence on the galaxy doesn’t end with his demise.

Star Wars: Battlefront II will launch on November 17 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
