The Last Night is an eye-popping cinematic platformer
The 2017 Xbox E3 media briefing was full of game announcements both big and small (you can read the full recap here once the event is over) but one of the most intriguing titles on display was The Last Night. As you can see in the game's trailer, The Last Night packs stunning visuals which should look even better in 4K or HDR with the new Xbox One X (formerly known as Project Scorpio).
The Last Night comes from developers Odd Tales. Here's how they describe the title:
"The Last Night is what we call post-cyberpunk – it’s not the kind of dystopia the genre is famous for, rather it depicts an alternate direction for society. One where the fight for survival doesn’t mean food and water, but a purpose for living. Human labour and creativity has been rendered obsolete by AI, so people are now defining themselves by what they consume, not what they create."
If that sounds interesting to you, you'll be able to play The Last Night when it releases sometime in 2018 for PC and Xbox One.
